What is a Life Coach?
A life coach is a trusted professional who helps you discover your potential, supports, and guides you to create effective change. Coaching is a non-judgmental practice; the only agenda the coach has is the agenda of the client. What Happens During Coaching Sessions?
The coaching process is about you achieving the outcome you establish for each session. The most important person in a coaching session is you. The approach evolves in response to your goals, experiences, and feedback. Together we will pattern a plan to fit your uniquely wonderful self, your needs and your desires. Periodically, I will give you assignments to help direct your progress. We will work together to acknowledge obstacles, blast through them, and celebrate successes. |

Can't I do this work myself?
Life Coaching is an empowering process that moves people to lasting places by partnership with an unbiased, objective, and supportive coach. Often people go above and beyond an initial goal, not realizing their full potential or recognizing what is standing in their way. A client centered approach, this puts you in the driver seat with a competent supportive co-pilot whose sole objective is the goals you establish. Life coaching steps out goals so they are attainable and will give you support and encouragement to reach your dreams.
How is Coaching Different from Therapy?
Coaching is not therapy. It is a practice that does not label or diagnose. Although some tough emotional issues might come up, coaching does not address psychological issues. The primary focus of coaching is to move people forward by identifying goals, supporting achievement, and developing positive responses. There is little emphasis placed on the past with coaching, instead focus is on creating what you want now and visioning for your future. Coaching helps people discover the value of responding versus reacting to life's challenges.
What about privacy and confidentiality?
Your coaching information will be kept strictly confidential as allowed by law. The Life Tailor adheres to the ethics and standards of behavior set by the International Coach Federation (ICF). All coaching relationships, as well as all information (documented or verbal) that the client shares with the coach is bound to confidentiality by the ICF Code of Ethics.
